I was only here just now to check to make sure that I really created one! When I was in school, college, that is, I had to reserve time in a computer lab to type out my papers. NO ONE had even heard of laptops! Or, cell phones for that matter. It's exciting!
We went to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, Bethel, NY, and saw the NY Philharmonic last night in the most gorgeous setting. Anyone who reads this page must see one concert there. Worth every penny!! Go to www.bethelwoodscenter.org. Sting will be there on July 30, 2010 with the Royal Philharmonic.

Every single one of my musical friends has been to Bethel Woods except me, to see all kinds of music. Are you going to see Sting?
ReplyDeleteIn our readings about the arts not being treated on the same level as math and science. A place like Bethel Woods would make a great field trip for kids to learn the history of music and the societal benefits to the lirics. Music has played a great part in the historical nationalization of many countries. Do you feel art is as improtant to the human educational growth as math? My personal opinion is yes.
